Jennifer wanted more responsibility at work and had self financed some relevant courses, including job interview coaching but was still looked over for a promotion. I helped Jennifer look at her efforts from an organisational and supervisory view, to get an actionable plan on developing interest from those who could help her in the company.

.. get the basics up and running

Edmund had a business idea and [like all ideas] there was no guarantee it was going to be profitable. He did all the groundwork but was reluctant to give up his weekly wage for the unknown. I supported Edmund in redefining his target and move from 'profitable' to 'six months of having the business run two days a week REGARDLESS of the outcome'. The compromise enabled him to work on his passion and pay his mortgage.

.. generate options

Shelley and Alex were in love and talked everyday but only saw each other about four times a year. Shelley had family responsibilities in New Zealand, and Alex was committed to the same in Australia.  Shelley wanted to explore the possibility of seeing each other per fortnight and arranging family and work around that ideal. After three sessions, and a few dead ends along the way, Shelley and Alex were able to arrange to be together one week out of every four.
